Courtyard Antiques - Antique English and European Country Furniture

How Often Is The Website Updated?

Usually every day, sometimes more than once.

Is Everything A Genuine Antique?

On the whole yes unless stated in the description, eg 'Victorian Style'.

We do re-model certain pieces to suit contemporary tastes.

Has The Furniture Been Treated For Woodworm?

Yes

Are The Dimensions Accurate?

All dimensions are maximums.  Please email for specific measurements.

How Do We Pay?

We accept cash, cheque, bank transfer and credit/debit cards.

Does The Price Include VAT?

We are not VAT registered.

What Is The Position Regarding Delivery?

Not easy to arrange as we are out in the 'sticks' but these are the options we have put together:

a) We can deliver locally or long distance ourselves

b) We can arrange delivery by a tried and tested carrier covering mainland UK.

c) Or you could possibly arrange collection/delivery yourselves using a company local to you or        try a new delivery concept via www.Shiply.com that is quick and works really well.

How Much Does Delivery Cost?

For items to be delivered by ourselves an example of our charges are:

Locally - Free up to 10 miles and then a token charge only to cover fuel, sweets, etc.

Long Distance eg, London or Birmingham £100 - £150

Specialist Carrier - £55+ depending on destination and item to be delivered.

Via Shiply.com - varies

How Long Do We Wait For Delivery?

If we deliver ourselves then time/date at your convenience.

Specialist Carrier - 10 day window, usually well within this.

Via Shiply.com - variable but can be dictated to a certain degree.

Do You Have More Stock?

We supply a lot of furniture to order.  These items do not appear on the website. Should you

have specific requirements or dimensions then please let us know and we will endeavour to find something for you.

Customer Assurance

Please be assured that everything leaves us in 'tip-top' condition.

All items are prepared to a very high standard.  Sympathetic repairs are carried out and all interiors are cleaned.  Worn components such as drawer runners are always replaced.

Most of the furniture was made to be practical and may reflect signs of daily use commensurate with age.

We are more than happy to answer any questions and supply extra photos.

We endeavor to recycle wherever we can.   All antique pieces are indeed constantly being recycled as they pass from one owner to another.  Materials such as screws, fittings and timbers are salvaged from derelict/unwanted items.  Restoration materials on the whole are from renewable sources and are naturally occurring products, eg Shellac, animal glue, waxes, etc

Many Thanks

Liz & Nick
